Description
Two White Elephants is a watercolor of two white elephants, friends. You can see their white tusks. Lots of white, pink and blue tones. Two White Elephants is part of my Animal collection. The painting is based on a photograph from the Philadelphia Zoo. Sadly, there are no longer any elephants at the Philadelphia Zoo; it was decided that the enclosure was too small for these large, majestic animals. They were moved to various facilities around the country including a sanctuary in Western Pennsylvania.
Haiku/
Across the miles
The kind words resonated
The warmth of friendship
Like minds agreeing
Sharing interrupts silence
Of being alone
Friends can be many
But few can be so treasured
To understand you

LIZ....I've sat here, gazing at these two. Yes, gorgeous elephants. AND......IN that time of contemplating this artwork, came many revelations about 'how you see' and 'how you express what you see' and that these just prove so deeply true how unique are you !!! These beauties are not 'snapshots', the are alive/real/unique...pure art/expressionism far from 'the norm' and all the very much more, superb. The longer I'm at FAA, the more , FOR ME, I realize when I visit others artworks, that what I'm looking for, and at, the speaks most to me, is this: your way, your seeing, your personal, unique (more than 'style) WAY . I would always know YOUR work. These are the epitome of YOUR WAY. Honours to you , Liz. No fake sentimentality, rather: artistic exhibition of an artists' personal, pure, VISION.
