Description
Morning Coffee is an abstract watercolor based on a reel-to-reel tape deck. It is two big, bloodshot eyes staring at that one small cup of coffee. Just waiting for that eye-opening first sip! This is based on an Akai reel to reel tape deck my brother had shipped home from Tokyo when he was stationed overseas. It has soft red tones with a light blue background.

As the world slowly awoke
Hoping to catch up
Morning rituals
My vitamins and coffee
What's more effective?
Morning vitamins
How they stare at me, waiting
For me to grab them
I anticipate
As my coffee slowly brews
The warm glow it gives
